Our fourth grade math is based on the Common Core. We use the GO Math! program to teach the new College and Career Readiness Standards. The skills taught in the program will allow students the necessary skills to understand math concepts. Problem solving is critical part of this program. Basic fact fluency is expected to be mastered to help develop student's problem solving.
The textbook is paperback, so this will stay at school. The students will bring home a notebook with vocabulary words, example problems, and notes from class. Please use the notebook to help with the nightly homework, including Friday. There will also be an interactive component to the program. More information will be sent home the first few weeks of school.
